This is the time of year (so they say) to eat, drink and be merry.
Today I want to chat with you a bit about the “merry” part.
I had a call with a lovely woman recently and she said to me, “Renee, I don’t want to lose 30 lbs, I just want to feel sexy”
For whatever reason, as she spoke, I got a visual of sexy Marilyn Monroe who had the ability to feel unbelievably sexy in her skin and it got me thinking about what it really takes to feel sexy for days after the call.
Marilyn was in no doubt a sexy vixen, but was she happy…? Hmm. I couldn’t answer that, but we all know how her life tragically ended.
So you want to feel sexy, huh?
Don’t deny it. Who doesn’t?
{If you’re a man, you may want to feel like that alpha male who has the respect of an amazing woman and then you’ll feel sexy)
What else do you want?
I’ll tell you what I hear from you…
++ You want to lose pounds.
++ You want to have a healthy lifestyle that actually lasts.
++ You want completely kick-ass relationships… no more struggling with your most intimate partnerships.
++ You want to feel amazing when you put your clothes on.
++ You want to feel secure financially.
++ You want to feel more energy.
I know there is more, but that’s what I hear mostly these days.
So I’ve been asking myself and meditating a lot on this question:
What is the root of sexy?
What is the root of health and energy and amazing partnerships?
Happiness.
Ultimately, you want to be happy.
Ear to ear grinning. Flirting. Blinking your sparkly eyes. Fist pumps in the air. Walking with a skip in your step. Butterflies in your belly. Watching your children giggle. Open, deep breathing that feels cleansing each time you take the air in. Deep, passionate kisses. Complete detachment from outcomes. Joyous screams out loud. Eyes closed enjoying your bite of food. Dancing around the house (maybe even naked…) Happy.
Yeah, that kind of happy.
There are a whole slew of really awesome books right now on this topic of happiness. No surprise, in a culture that is addicted to numbing ourselves with food, drugs, alcohol, work and social media (It’s sad but true).
Today is not the day to share my story in detail, but I will say that I’ve had some reasons to have a tough year… mainly my 9-year marriage to an awesome man ended.
I share this with you only because I know you have your own reasons why 2012 might have been a little challenging for you, don’t you?
The thing is, we all have shitty times. We’re human and it’s one of those things we all have in common.
What separates those people you see on the street with big ole smiles across their lips from the rest who are wanting to desperately wipe the smiles off their faces?
I believe it’s all perspective.
As you know, challenging times force us to grow and if you are going to master the “Be Merry” this month and take it with you into 2013 then you really want to take a good hard look at your Happiness.
If you want to master healthy eating, feeling sexy and appreciate awesome relationships… once again, it’s time to focus on Your Happiness.
Decisions, Decisions, Decisions.
Happiness is truly a choice that you make.
You can look outside yourself for it. I’ve done that a lot. It is a band-aid and if you run away trying to find happiness elsewhere, you’ll just repeat the same stuff until you learn to be happy within yourself. Save yourself some time and start by going within.
Yes, happiness isn’t out there. It’s an inside job {in you}.
When you can be in that blissful state of happy….
Feeling sexy and healthy or having rewarding relationships…. they will blossom.
I promise you.
Ladies… men really want a woman who is genuinely happy and full of energy.
Men… ladies really want to feel safe and secure and lead by a positive, happy man.
Enjoy yourself and pass this gift onto others
I’m going to share with you 5 specific things that I’ve been doing to create my own habit of happiness.
I have a huge grin each time I write to you. I won’t write to you any other way.
So trust me… this works.
Dancing Queen.
I have found a new addiction and it’s called Pandora. It’s a super healthy addiction because since August, I made a commitment to myself to dance every single day. I dance around the house, when I cook and I take lots of dance party breaks (even with my 3 year old).
To say this has changed my life is an understatement. Not only am I feeling like I’m in great physical shape, but emotionally… I’m fired up most of the day.
Just because you can’t see something doesn’t mean it isn’t real.
No, I don’t mean Santa. Just because you may not see the body you want, the relationship, the bank account balance or the career you want, it doesn’t mean it isn’t real… I know this is deep.
You must know that you can feel the happy state now without having accomplished your goals. Simple Law of Attraction will bring them into your life. Feel the feeling of happy first and they will show up.
Learn to enjoy yourself and pass the gift onto others.
The most important thing for me is that my son sees me happy. As a little Man, he needs a really happy mom so he can grow up being a secure and happy man. You can’t fake happiness period but especially not with children.
Obviously I want to be happy for ME and for my personal relationships as well.

A happy lady has happy clients. Simple as that.
I eat greens every single day.
This is a non-negotiable. Greens make you happy. Swiss chard, kale. I usually include some coconut oil, which also makes a difference. Food fuels your body and no… Ben and Jerry’s is not considered fuel.
I meditate every day.
I have been the most inconsistent at this practice until I was forced to make it a habit. I had no choice but to get down on my butt and pray, sit and breathe. I think I literally fell down to my knees out of desperation in a dark hour and ever since then I know that this nicely flowing level of happiness would not be possible without a meditation practice. Some days I only have 5 minutes some days I have more.
I’m on a journey to help you to Love Yourself Naked and I won’t stop because it’s part of my purpose and that makes me happy.
I want you to feel the root of sexy.
I want you to feel amazing in your skin not just because you eat pretty well but also because emotionally you have opened up enough to allow happiness in.
I want you to have the most fulfilling relationships with other people.
I want you to live a long, long life.

Oh and please don’t invest like $1 because although I would still honor the agreement because I’m cool like that, and I would likely not see who invested what $ figure, I would honestly feel insulted by that.

- I could expand my business. Maybe we work together, maybe not, but word of mouth advertising is the best kind in my opinion. When you gain something from our call, you’ll likely refer me at the very least.
