I get asked one particular question, a lot:
“Renee, I don’t know what to eat?”
Here is the answer:
Your body is not like any one body and you must find what works for you. I invite you to realize that this is the whole journey – the discovery of Self and how to feed yourself.
Today we are starting with food. There are many ways to feed yourself that don’t involve food, however that is for another day…
How you allow yourself to move through your world and be embodied within your being will guide you on your eating.
This means you stop being avoidant, distracted and moving so fast through life and come back to you.
Going inwards can be scary, I get it. However, this is the place when and where you learn to feed yourself.
I want to offer that maybe it doesn’t have to be a chore or big issue if it feels like one right now for you.
There is nothing more satisfying than savoring a delicious local peach in your mouth.
Perhaps you can reframe you food choices and experience with meals as an exploration instead of a potential problem.
Today, I want to offer a simple place to start, wherever you are in your process.
Feeling amazing in your body right now means that you decide to slow down. This doesn’t mean boring… the food I’m about to share with you is far from boring to your delicate and alive taste buds.
Eat Local foods for 1-2 weeks and let me know how you feel within yourself.
Shop at your farmers markets and buy fresh foods from markets.
Local foods taste So much better. They are often less expensive too (even if they are not, invest in supporting your local farmers).
When crops are picked at their peak, they benefit you more and eating within the season provides a harmony for your body and immune system.
It feels more loving to shop at the market.
In addition, these foods were likely just picked so there is a shorter time between coming from the farm directly to your table and you will benefit from a lot more nutrients.
