The answer that is a common denominator to all of these questions is more nutrients, vitamins, fiber. Not everyone has the option of eating large quantities of raw/steamed veggies all day long.
I do recommend adding in a large variety of veggies to your existing food plan. Getting in 6-7 servings of raw/steamed veggies is the goal I shoot for and it isn’t always easy.
Sometimes we need a supplement and the truth is that there are a lot of horrible ones. Green powders are so popular in the media and they are typically full of LOTS of things you don’t want, added sugars and “filler proteins” to fill you up but don’t add nutritional value.
Worse yet, there are many green powders on the market that have very low quality standards for what’s inside them. So maybe they have a lot of “healthy ingredients” and they are marketed to be wonderful but they are actually so processed down and low quality to begin with that you are not getting much for your money.
I created the list of my Top 6 Green Superfood Picks below. There are all tested by me and used regularly by myself and my family. I chose each of these for various reasons based on high quality standards, exceptional ingredients and from actual use/results.
One more thing: If you are not a fan of the taste of green powders, remember that the purpose for you to drink these is for extra minerals and vitamins. You can mix them into smoothies. Also, you might consider that in some cases, your taste buds could be so numbed out from sugar, artificial sweeteners and processed foods that these powders taste very bland to you.
The problem, might not be the green powder itself but instead that your taste buds need a reboot and detox.

Of all of the products on this list, I drink Athletic Greens most. I like the small packets for travel. I like the taste. I personally love this company. They make a lot of products that I trust. This is the least tasty green powder on the list so I would recommend you use it as base to your smoothies or mix it with a banana or berries. Sometimes we need to let go of the “taste” and remember it’s about the nutrients, but that’s just my opinion (wink).
