I have learned through personal experience, extensive research and education that eating and self care habits can be changed when our routine and our environment does. Studies have shown that if you can diagnose your habits, you can change them in whatever way you desire. Begin by looking at the stuck habits you have, the routine’s you have and the rewards you give yourself. Which habits are you ready to change? Begin today to get out of your habit by breaking it… try something different and get out of your comfort zone.

Change Your Habits
Hello everybody; Renee Heigel here with this week’s Love Yourself Naked Video Blog and I am so excited to be here. I want to share with you one of the biggest questions that keeps coming up from some of you all and some of my clients, etc. But before I do, it’s really important to just check in with yourself as we are doing these Love Yourself Naked Blogs.
I want to remind you the underlying vision purpose of what Love Yourself Naked is because it obviously applies to everything I’m doing here with you. Naked, right? This is really about stripping down all of those obstructions, all of that stuff that keeps us from being the authentic version of ourselves. And the other part of naked is really about clean food and a cleansing of sorts, not just through food but also emotionally.
So ‘naked’ as a verb so it’s this beautiful coupling, so to speak. So one of the great questions I’ve been getting from people is, “Renee, I’m so bored with what I’m eating and I really don’t feel like cooking and I’m so busy and I feel like I’m eating the same things over and over.” Has this ever happened to you before? I know it’s happened to me.
So I want to give you a little switcharoo – a little different way of looking at this and one of the things you can do and obviously this is really about routine – maybe your routine has gotten boring. Who wants to do something that’s boring? So how can you switch up your routine to make it better? Can you reorganize some things in your kitchen? Can you move things around? Can you clean out your pantry? Can you put things in different containers? Of course you don’t have to spend a lot of money to do this but could you use a little pantry makeover? Could you put some new flowers on the table and make it more inviting and play some music, etc?
If you like wine, pour a glass of wine while you’re cooking. Do things to make it more fun. Soft Naked really is a stand for whole foods so I really want you to be aware that what you put in your body is a complete reflection of who you really are so if you are binging on McDonalds or you’re stopping at fast food, then just know this: That kind of screams, “I’m pissed off at you,” because on some level – not I’m pissed off at you – but that you’re pissed off at yourself because at some level, we know McDonalds isn’t good for us.
So if we’re eating it anyway, on some conscious level that we know that it’s not good for us, we’re telling out body, “I’m mad at you.” So really being open to this possibility that as you nourish yourself with other foods, that’s going to change your life completely and there’s a lot of judgments that I used to have that came up for me about even going into grocery stores after awhile because I was so used to eating so healthy that I would go to a grocery store and then I would find out that this grocery store didn’t have as many organic options as I had before.
All this judgment about the grocery store came up and so I also just really wanted to take a minute to dispel that because I think that a lot of times we are looking for perfection and if we don’t have perfection, we don’t want it at all. So really getting out of these same habits – that’s the underlying theme here and out of your comfort zone because when you’re out of your comfort zone, that is when you can begin to love yourself naked because it’s out of your comfort zone where the real growth and the real spiritual awareness and the real cleansing comes through.
So much love to all of you. I’m so excited to be on this journey with all of you and thank you for tuning in. If you haven’t liked us on Twitter, on Facebook, or on Pinterest, please do so, so we can stay connected and have a wonderful day. Bye!
