I have a secret tea I drink often that I want to share with you. It impacts the immunity of your body probably more than most any other item we can consume. I suppose it is not that big of a secret, I share it with my clients and in the Online Course I built for my clients, but up until the last few years, it has been a commonly talked about tea or food item that you hear about in mainstream health. It needs to be though! I’ll share it with you in a bit, it’s called the Chaga Mushroom. Before I get into it, I want you to know why this is so important.
When we feel low energy, under the weather, or notice we are getting sick, we often think about adding in some more Vitamin C, Zinc, or probiotics… at least I hope you do because those are great tools for your “immune-boosting tool kit”.
You may also want to consider removing sugar and processed foods, which leads to low immunity and candida overgrowth in your body and therefore causing colds.

Fermented foods such as raw sauerkraut or kimchi provide preventative health care of your gut, helping to do the repopulating of your healthy bacteria that your body desperately needs to keep your immune system strong.
Did you know that most of your immune system lives in your abdominal region? Keeping it healthy is essential to avoid getting sick.
So when we overdo the processed, packaged, and refined foods – it takes a toll on our gut health. In addition to sugar, other things like white carbs, gluten, GMO foods like corn and soy, and artificial ingredients… these really lower our immunity.
Over time, our adrenal glands begin to suffer, which can lead us to worse issues with sugar cravings, getting sick often, headaches, belly bloat, sleep problems, and more.
CHAGA.
So people have called Chaga, “The Gift From God”. It’s been used all over the world (Siberia, China, Japan) for thousands of years because of its all-powerful ability to impact the body in ways that one food source usually doesn’t. I heard of Chaga because it is grown in Northern Michigan, north of where I live within the state. I bought it after pregnancy to help heal my body and I’ve been drinking it for most of 7 years now.
Chaga has changed my life. I’ll explain how and where you can buy it below.
It is a mushroom, but it looks more like a piece of tree bark and it’s just as hard… I need to use a small saw to cut the large Chaga chunks in half at times.
Chaga contains the force of actual trees – and that is powerful. Think about how long trees live… thousands of years and therefore Chaga gives you longevity and concentrated power that contains B vitamins, flavonoids, phenols, minerals, and enzymes. It’s also one of the world’s densest sources of pantothenic acid – this vitamin is needed by the adrenal glands as well as digestive organs.
It also has riboflavin and niacin in significant amounts and Chaga is rich in phenols. These phenols are also called a chromogenic complex, which means that it is highly protective for all tissues in your body.
The neat thing is that this is only found in Chaga.
Superfood:
There is more – Chaga also has minerals that come from the wild, such as copper, calcium, potassium, manganese, zinc, and iron and it has an ingredient that is super powerful, which is why I call it a superfood, it’s called Superoxide Dismutase (SOD).
Anti-aging and longevity:
Superoxide Dismutase – this is an enzyme, found in Chaga, that is so powerful because it stops oxidation, especially the toxicity of a free radical known as singlet oxygen. This particular oxygen (singlet) damages tissues and makes usage.
Stress response:
There are things called adaptogens that modify your body’s response to stress and this is so important, consider the stress the average person is under in our world.
When you take adaptogens each day, typically in the form of herbs, you will greatly improve your mental and physical work capacity.
Chaga is actually found to be the most powerful of all adaptogens.
Yes! THE MOST POWERFUL!
The fact that we know that almost 80% of diseases are due to stress, makes Chaga even more potent.
I have helped support myself and my clients with Chaga tea. M clients and I can testify to Chaga being one of the key items in helping to turn things around with our health.
Chaga has been known to help with the flu, viruses, stomach disease, intestinal worms, liver ailments, cancer, AIDS, metabolism, longevity, adrenal fatigue, thyroid issues, blood pressure, immunity, diabetes, and all-around good health.
I love that it is grown in Northern Michigan Forests – my home state. It’s also grown all around the world.
How to buy Chaga:
I personally buy Chaga in large chunks and grind it up to then brew it.
You can also buy it as a ground powder or in a tincture (I also like the tincture).
I have seen Chaga Tea bags sold, but I suspect it may not be near as powerful as you are likely not getting it in its purest form. How often:
You can enjoy Chaga Tea daily and up to 2-3 times each day. For treating illness and disease, always contact your health care practitioner or send me a message to set up a consultation by clicking here.
How to make Chaga Tea:
Chaga is sun-dried and broken down into chunks. You can either grind it down using a saw and mortar or you can steep the chunks.
Use a large stockpot that you do not care about staining – Chaga will stain your stainless steel pot.
Fill up the large pot about 1/2 way and take out 2-3 large chunks and bring to a boil. Then let the Chaga simmer on low heat for 2-3 hours.
Drain the Chaga mushrooms out of the “chaga mushroom tea” and put them into a glass-covered in water. You can reuse these mushrooms to boil 1-2 more times in the weeks ahead. Store in the refrigerator always.
I store the tea in large mason jars in my fridge.
I drink Chaga plain.
It’s helped people stop drinking so much coffee.
At times I add a little hemp milk, cacao powder, and raw honey and make a “Hot Chocolate Chaga” – this is my son’s favorite and boosts his immune system too.
You can also sweeten with small amounts of honey (raw honey is recommended).
Mushroom love,
Renee
