I just came off of 2 weeks in the Caribbean… what a blessing as a health coach, woman, mom and soul (in no particular order)!
I’m grateful and I’ve traveled a lot in my years. I used to hide the amount of travel from my close friends and family. Can you believe that? I didn’t lie about it, but I wouldn’t tell people I was going places because I thought it was boasting or bragging and they would think of me differently.
I know, I know. Pretty lame, right. I’ve since learned that when we fear something and give negative energy to it, we create more negative energy. So by not sharing (and assuming) others would judge me I actually was creating more judgement. Crazy, huh.
One of the things I love about traveling is that it provides me forced relaxation and spiritual growth. I am pushed out of my comfort zone. While lying on the beach and hearing the conversations around me, I heard lots of dialogue. I was surprised to hear how much people talked about others on the beach. Interesting. Mostly though, I was blown away by the exact opposite. The kindness and unselfish acts of love. People helping others, creating friendships, coming up to compliment each other, sharing and giving without expecting anything in return.
Our world can be pretty harsh. At home, I can walk by a stranger on a street, smile and say hello and they will ignore me. Even more so, we often judge and speak to ourselves in ways we wouldn’t dream to speak to others.
Always remember that the person who teased you and critiqued you when you were younger or the person who is saying things that hurt now is hurting more than you are. Send them love. Showing them love is really loving you.
I today’s vlog I share a reminder that came to me while on vacation and a ‘prescription’ for Thanksgiving (from your very own drugless practitioner).
I’m so grateful for you and thank you so much for being in my life and tuning in as always. Much love to you.
Here’s that video.
